The fish raising complex (fish farm) with the recirculating aquaculture system was qualified by the State Commission to be put into operation on 20.03.2013.
The complex was approved by the Rural Support Service of Latvia and built as part of an activity of the European fisheries fund.
Estimated production capacity of the complex:
Raising TRADABLE FISH — 100 tons
Raising HUTCHLING — 150-200k pc/p.a.
Total area of the complex (premises) — 2376 m2
Total area of the territory — 0,8 Ha
Area of the tradable fish factory — 1761 m2.
The factory is equipped with two independent RAS which allows to raise fish of several breeds.
Area of the hutchling and incubatory house — 220 m2.
Two independent RAS:
the first one is incubatory (for nurturing the hutchling from caviar),
the second one - for raising the hutchling (until the time of transferring the hutchling to the tradable fish factory).
The complex includes:
Laboratory
Oxygen generating station
Office
Boiler-room and
Fodder storage room
The complex is also equipped with an emergency diesel power generator, heavy fraction water collector, and fire extinction basin.
The water used in the system is taken from two wells and undergoes fine purification.
The farm has a storage facility to accommodate parent flocks ("repair") and washing marketable fish with the capacity of 30 tons of simultaneous processing and accommodation.
The complex is provided with equipment produced by leading manufacturer countries in the field of aquaculture: Austria, Denmark, Germany, Holland, France, Poland, China, and Latvia.
